Hello all. I am needing help with my sons car. A little background here, my sons first car was a 1991 Camero, beautiful so I thought. We bought it for our son and he worked so hard and paid us back in just 3 months. ( No outings with friends he was determined to get us paid back) It was a dream of his to own a Camero. Well little did I know when I purchased it (while hubby was out of town) that it was not stable. Something called a wheel well was rusted out, the guy we bought it from said everything was good and with me working was kind enough to have it inspected and it passed. A few months later my son complained how rough a ride it was, so I told him to go and see if an alignment was needed and I would help him with it. He took it to our local mechanic shop and within 5 minutes I was getting a call my mechanic had informed me that the wheel well and the entire frame was rusted and my son was driving a death trap that at anytime he loose his front end. We immediate towed it to a shop that does restoration and they told me all the damage on that car was not worth fixing. Our sons heart was broke and he and I were mad. Well that didn't help him get to and from work or to and from school. So we scrapped that car and took the chance and bought an 1988 Camero Iroc Z. We have completely redone the interior, and have had the engine and all kinds of stuff under the hood done. It ran good for a minute. Now he can't drive it to school or work (as he is unable to work because of no vehicle). The car seems to die when it wants to the dash lights and all interior light do not seem to work. We are on a slim budget here so if anyone has an idea on what may be causing this please let me know. We have also changed out the electrical wiring, replaced the gas tank (as old gas was in it), replaced the battery, filters, gas line, put headers on it the list goes on. Please if you have any possible ideas that would be great. My husband works out of town every other week and can't be here and is out of ideas as to why it is running horrible so it is my son and I that are trying to get this running for him. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND WISDOM!

Hey Chip Scott Readman here. My wife and I have a 2002 subaru wrx and about a month ago when driving home the timing belt went out and somehow all the cams got bent. Our other car is my dads dodge ram which is basically a work truck for the construction company he has, so lately we have been kinda up a creek with our transportation needs and can only use my dads truck when we are not hauling materials. My wife and I bought this subaru about 3 years ago for our wedding present for ourselves and its been a great car and we absolutely love it. It goes by the name of SID. The recent damage was unexpected and with work being so scarce these days I need to find the cheapest option to fix the car. We have a 20 month old son, Luca Kai, and live in my parents basement due to the lack of work these days. We had to move back from colorado after I got laid off from a structural foundation company which was completly unexpected. Although times have been rough my awesome wife, Brittny, who has been so supportive and such terrific mother to our son always keeping a great attitude and bringing tons of joy to our family. She always stays so strong and makes the best of every situation no matter what it is she finds the positive, until I broke the car...She broke down and it broke my heart because I dont know what to do. See, we live 2 and a half miles up a dirt road in acton california so without any transportation into town its a challenge. Especially with the antelope valley or santa clarita valley the closest, so you feel kind of trapped. Especially living at your inlaws! I feel just terrible Chip and need to help my wife so that she doesnt feel stranded anymore and be able to get Luca off the mountain in case of any emergencies. What do I do! Any response would be so greatly appreciated. Is there a place where I can apply for credit and make payments for the repairs? Would it be easier to repair the engine or replace it? We want to keep the car for the safety of our family. It was also my wifes dream car since she had her first 1983 subaru hatchback in colllege. I would love to suprise her somehow since she deserves it. I love her so much and would do anything for her. Please any info on what I should do, I just want to make my wife happy. Hope to hear from you.
Мы купили Volga 31029 в 2007году .
Она была на ходу, но часто ломалась. Сейчас она не работает.
Сейчас у нас нет ни денег ни гаража где можно было бы чинить автомобиль.
The recent damage was unexpected and with work being so scarce these days I need to find the cheapest option to fix the car.

Hello, my name is Daniel Shirley and my father, Marty Shirley, and we live in Atlanta. Him and I are like brothers, and we love cars and working on them ourselves. When he was younger he had a Blue 1969 Dodge Charger and a red 69 Dodge Charger. The blue Charger was a 383, i think, and the red one was a fully stocked 426 HEMI. We have the pictures and not the cars. He sold them to help pay for child support, because he wasn't dong to good with jobs then. Even now his jobs are bad ones because of health problems. He has diabetes and is over weight, so many companies don't want to hire him. This also makes it impossible for him to be able to afford a muscle car. And if he could it would cost a lot and more than likely be in horrible condition. This was the biggest mistake of his life, because other than his two great kids, those were his babies. He is still today very very upset about the topic. I know we have the cars to over-haul but i was thinking that if we find a charger of any kind, preferably 67-71, and rebuilding it!
P.S. please stop him from buying bad cars like Ford Taurus and VW passot.
Hi! My name is Josh. I have a 1984 Camero that was my graduation car but it is torn appart. My uncle had paid for every thing on and in it just about, but he passed away about 6 years ago. Since i graduated i worked at a saw mill were i got two fingers cut off and i just cant get it back together. I'm currently out of a job and trying my best too raise a family. its hard to find a good job because i really dont have reliable traspertation. Mine and my dad's dream ist just to have it on the road again before something bad happens to him, because he put all the work into it and didnt get to drive it much. It would mean so much too my whole family to see it running and driving. I would truly be greatful for your help making it happen. Please help me out! thank you for your time. Sincerely Josh (NUBBERZ)

Hello my name is John and my dad has a 65 Chevy pickup that is in desperate need of restoration. My dad is retired from the army after 24 years of service. He has always made do so that my brothers, my mom, and I could have what we needed. He has always put others first; family, friends, and country I want this to be a surprise for him because when he was 18 he had I truck identical to this one he joined the Army and had to sell it. It would mean the world to him to have his old truck back with a few minor upgrades of course. I want him to come first for one special time. We live in a small town in Colorado called Dove Creek and I notice that a lot of the restorations come from larger cities. So if you would please consider this job it would be greatly appreciated. You may reach me by phone or email if this is a project that you might be interested in.
My name is Michael, I just upgraded to digital cable and stumbled on the show. Very cool.
My truck is my first car that my father bought me spring of 1982 for high school graduation in 1981. Yep, I've been driving the same vehicle for the past 31 years. “First car, last car” that's what I say.
What the heck is it?! I have a classic 1978 FJ40 Land Cruiser. Growing up in Minnesota, a kid I knew in high school had one, and I remember the first time I saw it thinking “damn, that's the coolest ‘Jeep’ I've ever seen”. I didn't know that I was uttering heresy calling a Land Cruiser a Jeep).
When I graduated and moved east for college, I bought a bicycle to get around, but after just four days it was stolen. My dad convinced me to get a car, so one day as we were driving around, we passed a dealership in West Hartford, and there on the lot was a dead stock, olive colored 1978 FJ40 bobtail.
Long story short, February 1982 we negotiated the 9/78 olive brown with just about 30K with new tires, and a battery for $6,500. I've driven it ever since.
Having owned it for as long as I have, I have 31 years of horribly boring stories, about engine, dizzy, cooling, fuel and carb work, shackles, springs shocks, exhaust, interior, exterior, etc. etc. I know, and have turned just about every nut and bolt on this rig. I did almost a whole body 4 - 7 years ago.
And being as old as it is, almost every part except the engine block/head, frame and axles have turned over. Over the years, I've poured thousands of dollars, and hundreds of hours into this truck. Because I love it.
And that's the problem. The engine, even with 144K on it still runs strong, but the frame is going fast. And so I don't know what's next. I was told three years ago that I had two years left on the frame. I'm running on borrowed time.
It would be a dream to have this truck that I love properly restored.
If anyone wants to see some pics of at least a portion of the body repair I did a few years ago, check it:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/interroban … 108003604/
That's my story, and I'm sticking' to it.

Hi my dad have been trying for over 30 years to restore a 65 mustang fast back. He has always been a hard working father who quit school to provide for his 5 kids. My mother and everybody in the family has been telling him to get rid of that junk car that will never get on the road. My father has been offered money for years on this classic. But he refuse to sell because his dream is one day I will have a nice car. I have to admit I am one of those people who believes he should get rid of that car. This car is a eye sore. He tries to work on this whenever finances are available. I watch your show and thank you for making dreams come true for many people. However I know many people are more deserving than my dad here in Texas. But if that could happen for him it would be a blessing and a prayer answered that my dad would be the only one who still believes. God bless
HELLO- EVERYONE AT OVERHAULIN. I'M WRITING TO YOU IN THE HOPE THAT YOU WOULD PICK MY GIRLFRIENDS CAR TO BE OVERHAULED. SHE HAS A 1987 CHEVY MONTE CARLO, THAT SHE ABSOLUTELY
LOVES. SHE'S BIG INTO HER CAR'S AND NEVER STOPS TRYING TO TAKE CARE OF IT. MY GIRLFRIEND MEGAN 12 YEARS AGO DEVELOPED A TUMOR THE SIZE OF A BASEBALL ON HER OPTIC NERVE, DUE TO HAVING CANCER AS A CHILD AND LOST PART OF HER EYE SIGHT, SO SHE CANNOT DRIVE NO MORE. AND
I KNOW SHE WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO DRIVE AGAIN. SHE WOULD LOVE TO FIX HER CAR UP. BUT WE CANNOT AFFORD TO DO THAT, IT'S JUST COLLECTING DUST IN HER GARAGE. I LOVE YOUR SHOW, I WATCH IT ALL THE TIME. SO IF YOU CAN FIND IT IN YOUR HEART TO GRANT ME THIS ONE WISH FOR HER, I'D BE SO GREATFUL. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS.

My father Jerry Peterson got sick around 10 years ago, he suffers with Retroperitoneal Fibrosis. He has never recovered fully and has had multiple health issues since then. He has had multiple surgeries on his neck, back, and legs. In the early years of his illness he developed blood clots in his lungs and we almost lost him. Before he got sick he bought a 1980 Triumph Spitfire which he intended on restoring and driving during his retirement years. He has not had the ability to work on his car like he has wanted due to his medical problems. My father enjoys watching your show and loves what you do for people. My Dad enjoys cars in general, he subscribes to multiple car magazines and watches many car shows on TV. I am writing on his behalf to ask your team to consider working on my Dad's car so that he can enjoy driving it again. He would get such enjoyment out of driving his car and what a blessing it would be for him to have that opportunity after all of his sickness. This would be a definite highlight in his life and something that would be appreciated beyond all words. I have seen him suffer so much during these past years, I would love to see him have enjoyment and excitement back in his life again. I ask you to please consider my father and his car a worthy project for your team. Thank you very much for your time and have a great day! Linda DeRoode (daughter) 651-276-3867

My name is Melinda Bear and my husband Steve (we call him Bear) has given up so much for me and my children. When we married 29 yrs ago I had 2 children, my daughter had very extensive health problems. We married on Sat she went in the hospital on Sun morning and had surgery on Mon morning, over the years she was in and out of the hospital with medical bills like you wouldn't believe. She has had over 50 surgeries in her life. She is doing better now, married with 2 beautiful children and a husband in the USAF. We have never been able to buy a brand new car or truck, because our daughters needs had to come first. In 2000 I became very ill and had to have surgeries back to back and could no longer work. Bear never complained, He just worked harder to see that our needs were met. In 2002 we lost our home to a fire, only having the clothes on our backs. But Bear just kept on going My husband had always wanted a Ford 4 dr dully, in 2002 we found a used one and bought it, its a 1987 his dream truck. Well in 2009 we had flooding where we live, he was on his way to check on my elderly Dad when the flood waters got him, the truck has been down every since, water got into the injectors. The front end needs work, it shakes so bad at times that you can't hardly hold it in the road and you have to know the key to shifting the gears but Bear loves this truck and he has given up so much for me and our children that I would love to be able to give back to him something that means so much but I now have a lot of medical issues and we haven't been able to afford to fix the truck, Bear is a disabled Vet and has been down in his back since this past Oct and can't do the work himself even if we could afford to do. Can you please help get his dream truck back on the road?
Thank you and God Bless you all for what you do

We love your show my hubby is negative Nelly!! Hope you can help get his 1965 convertible 289 mustang original 68,000 miles overhauled. Last time David my husband otherwise known as negative Nelly, lol drove his mustang was in high school, they still have 1990 tags. I'm so tired of hearing how someday he'll fix his car. David is real special man with a big heart he open our doors to care for my autistic nephew Esteban whom was 7 and non-verbal at the time since both of his parents passed away in 2000. In 2009 we had our twins and 2012 we welcomed our third baby boy. David has put his dreams aside to focus on my nephews and our family needs. I truly hope you can help someone who has given a great deal of time and effort to my now 19 year old verbal high function autistic nephew Esteban and to our family. The show overhaul would be able to get him really good by acting as reporters to interview him for all of his accomplishments and mile stones he reached with my disable nephew whom at the time he came to live with us could not talk and was pretty combative and now loves to sing and is able communicate. Here a song my nephew sang Esteban remember when he first came could not talk in all the effort and classes my husband supported. So please give a kind soul a wish that may never come true without your help. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkXbjy7vdBI
Hi my name is Ed my fiancé has a 25 year old daughter who's has a 1988 Toyota Corolla and she has driven this car since she was 16 as a matter of fact it's her first car. She has been having a ruff go of it all for sometime now she has driven this car almost to the brink of extinction. We tried before to help her buy another car but it has just not worked out. How can I nominate her car to be overhauled by your famous A-Team. I would say that Amanda that's her name is very much deserving of a major overhaul of her car. She is like the daughter I never had and it would mean so much to me to show her what she means to me. If you can help it would be wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
