Questions about the cost of Overhaulin
I have a friend whose car is in serious need of help and I was wondering if anyone knew around what the costs and everything amount to for the applicant of the show. If anyone knows anything about this information it would be very helpful. Thank you.

Welcome to the forums, squirrelbait!
Unfortunately, no one but a former mark or Overhaulin' producer can give you a dollar figure, and they're (understandably) reluctant to say. I know that the mark has to pay taxes on the value of the work done, just like if you won the lottery or a game show.
Others have suggested in the past that the show has a way of dealing with these taxes that makes it possible for ordinary folks to afford, however. All they'll say is that "it's worth it".
